The Golden Ticket

I had the incredible honor of being selected to attend a master course in bespoke shoemaking in Amsterdam, led by world-renowned designers René van den Berg and Kobi Levi. Two creative innovators whose work continues to redefine what footwear can be.

After submitting three original design concepts, my piece “Laundry Day” was chosen for development. A design rooted in asymmetry, playful tension, and expressive storytelling, it moved from concept to craft under the guidance of masters who understand both precision and imagination. That week wasn’t just about building a shoe. It was about learning the true foundation. Pattern making, last shaping, material behavior, balance, structure, and the engineering behind beauty. I gained a deeper understanding of the discipline required to allow creativity to stand upright.

Working inside a studio shaped by inventive minds and learning the fundamentals from designers who treat footwear as art and architecture was transformative. It challenged my process, refined my instincts, and strengthened my ability to translate vision into form from the inside out.
